Kubernetes Metrics Server, the cluster-wide aggregator of resource usage that backs `kubectl top` and the Horizontal Pod Autoscaler. Scrapes kubelet summary endpoints and serves the metrics.k8s.io API through the aggregation layer; it is a short-term metrics source, not a monitoring backend.
